Very effective, though has some issues in shadowy spaces.
I was surprised by how effective the motion sensor was. It could pick someone up from many angles and VERY quickly turn the light on. Instantaneously I would say. My only problem is that if it’s plugged in underneath a cabinet or in a shady part of the house it might turn on during daytime. It’s LED so I don’t suspect it’s draining much power but it feels unnecessary and distracting when that happens. I have it in the restroom now so when someone walks in they’ll get a little flare of light that helps find the light switch, or substitute if you just want a dim-ish room.

Perfect Motion Nightlight for Midnight Bathroom Trips!
I bought this because I was getting tired of my wife turning on the main bathroom light in the middle of the night to check for spiders on the toilet seat… yes, really. Living out in the countryside we occasionally see snakes, centipedes, spiders, and other little critters, so the midnight “inspection routine” was starting to wake me up.This motion nightlight fixed that problem nicely. It’s very sensitive and even works through my wife’s tall crystal makeup organizer since the outlet is behind it (see my photo). It still detects motion and turns on right away.What I like most is that the light comes on gently, not suddenly blasting on like some motion lights do. That makes a big difference when your eyes are half closed in the middle of the night.The 2-minute timer is just about perfect… enough time for a quick bathroom trip and back to bed without the light staying on forever.The 4000K neutral white light gives a clear, natural glow without being harsh or blinding, and the halo-style light spreads the illumination evenly instead of creating a bright hotspot.Overall this feels better made than a lot of the cheap multi-packs you see. Simple, reliable, and a good value. Glad I picked this one!

Effective Nightlight
This little motion sensor night light is amazing. Very sensitive to the slightest movement. I first placed it in our hallway bathroom, and it would turn on every time I walked past the doorway. Not a bad thing but not needed for that location. Decided to move it to the back porch for coming and going via the screen door into the backyard. It’s not blindingly bright, nor is it too dim. There are 3 timed settings that allow you to choose how long the light should stay on. It was simple to use right out of the box. Made of plastic, it does appear well made. Time will tell how long it will last.The only complaint I would have is how long it took to ship.

Excellent for bathroom
Super convenient night light for the bathroom. Only comes on in the dark and only when motion is detected and you can customize how long to remain on after. I think the warm light is probably the better choice for most bathroom installations where the cooler temp light is better for hallways or stairwells. The one I ordered was not able to adjust the color temperature but the instructions suggest there’s a model which does, so if I ordered again and the cost was trivial I’d order the adjustable one. Installed easy and doesn’t block the other outlet. Love it.

Excellent Performance, Higher Price Than Similar Options
This review is for the Generic Brand Plug-in Motion Sensor Night Light selling for $15.99 at the time of my review—a price that is higher than many comparable single units currently available.I set up the night light in my bathroom, and it works perfectly, activating as soon as I walk through the door. I tried it in two outlets positioned at different angles to the doorway, and the motion detection performed consistently in both. The brightness is just right, casting light left, right, and downward. It also works equally well installed upside down in the upper outlet, illuminating upward instead. The adjustable shut-off timer (60, 120, or 180 seconds) is a useful feature.Performance-wise, I have no complaints. However, similar motion-sensor night lights are widely available at lower price points, often in multi-packs. While this unit works exactly as intended, buyers may want to compare pricing before purchasing.

I love this light. I put this in my kitchen so I wouldn’t have to turn on the light in the middle of the night. It’s a good light level where it’s not too bright or too dim. The sensor works great! You can change the settings to how long you want the light on as well. Great purchase.
