Good bath tray, minor splitting issue
I bought this because I love taking baths and wanted to watch videos, read, and have a glass of wine (without risking breaking the glass) while bathing, this for the bill. This is a good bathtub tray, it does the job. The foldable function only works if you remove the stand, which isn’t difficult but it does leave you with the second piece of you are looking to store it folded up regularly and it’s an extra step of you want to fold it often. It doesn’t bother me, I’m the only one using my bathtub and I love baths and take them frequently so I keep it out. I have stemmed wineglasses and I liked that this allowed you to slide the base of the glass into the slot, keeping it from possibly tipping over or falling, and I like that unlike some, which cradle the base of the glass’ bowl, the bottom wouldn’t be dangling in the water and I can easily grasp the stem. The slot fits the bases of my wineglasses perfectly and that function works as advertised. The only criticism I have is that only a week or two after I received the tray the wood split by one of the points where the wood was joined (see photos), no it has not been submersed in water, it’s only had the level of exposure to water that’s expected with taking a bath (I.e. a minimal amount of splashing and some water droplets, all of which are wiped off during and after use). As this hasn’t affected the utility and the split hasn’t appeared to have grown in the weeks since, so far, I’ve kept the tray and continue to use it. All-in-all, while there splitting is mildly concerning, thus far I would still recommend this as an option. I will continue to monitor the split and update if necessary.
