Slip sliding away
I’ve had a cousin of this product before but it did not perform. It did not secure the mat. It molded regularly. It was actually very dangerous. Hopefully this will work better. This product had directions that included soaking in hot water for 30 minutes. I followed instructions and hope this time it will work well and keep me safe in the shower.

Surprise! It sticks…and it smells.
I want to start this review by mentioning that my tub needs some serious help–the previous homeowners did an awful, half-done (seriously, only half of the tub was done) diy refinishing job…I’m convinced that they just used leftover house paint on the tub.That said, I have not been able to get a bathtub mat to actually stick to the crappy tub floor because it’s so chunky and uneven in so many places, but because this mat is slightly smaller than the other ones that I’ve bought (which surprised me, but shouldn’t have because I did not pay much attention to the measurements), this mat’s suction cups just happen to sit on the smoothest parts of the tub floor–meaning that IT ACTUALLY STICKS and it feels really secure.The mat isn’t as cushy as my previous bathtub mat and it smelled (still smells 3 days later) awful. I left the mat outside for 2 days and if it still smells, I’m throwing it in the washing machine.I read all the reviews about picking up the mat to let it dry, I did that and I know that I will continue that practice but I doubt that my husband will continue with that after a week or so.
